D is for Drink-Christmas Edition

SoSS #268 D is for Drink

I love to play with SoSS-I got to make a special Christmas card for my brother!

There is all kinds of bling on this. This is the Olive Martini Die Set, and Christmas Cocktails Die Set from Spellbinders. All of the papers I used were from my scrap stash-red glitter cs, silver shimmer cs, green cs, green shiny cs, red shiny cs, silver mirror cs, etc. Even the grey plaid is scrap! I added a light grey strip to make it wide enough for the card, and covered the seam with silver scroll glitter tape from Recollections. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things stamp set "Sassy Pants Holiday".

Irish Eyes

At the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers the theme is

 And here is my entry-

I'm sending this to my brother for St. Patrick's Day-I hope he gets a kick out of it! I used some scrap green and gold cardstock, scrap gold cardstock, and computer generated sentiments. The image is one from the Graphics Fairy from a long time ago. I'll look up some more challenges to enter this in, maybe.

M is for Magic

SoSS #159: M is for Magic

Oh, how I love the Sisterhood! I love the Snark, and I love the funniest bunch of women on the Internet!

Here is my project-

I mean, this guy's magical, right? Gorgeous, and possibly straight? Now that would be magical! Very simply I found the picture on the Internet, printed it, and added it to a card that I had added gold & white washi tape on the top & bottom-voila!

Join in the magic at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

K is for kids

The fun challenge at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is-

SoSS #156 K is for Kids

This time we are challenged by Kids and not always our own. :)

Here is my project-

and then the inside!

I found the picture on the internet, printed it and added the sentiment. The background paper (stash) and black Nuvo drops finish it off! And I think every mother has thought this at one time or another.

The Doctor

SoSS #143 - L is for Liquor

Well, typically for me, the last minute arrives again! Here is my project for the challenge at SOSS-

I love this AI stamp-she can go with any funny sentiment stamp! The sentiment is from Riley & Co., and I've been itching to use it. The background paper is some old DCWV Mat Stack, and along with some magenta stars and iridescent ovals I've used up some bits & pieces!

SoSS Naughty Christmas

I have been working on getting an entry in on Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Naughty Christmas, and I think I've come up with an idea-

I haven't put a sentiment inside yet, but I have ideas! For a good female friend, something like "Details! I want details!", or "Friends need to know before Santa does!". Now if I had the guts to send this to an enemy, I would put something like "But then again, who doesn't." or "Gee, suprise, suprise."
The kraft patterned paper is from My Minds Eye Paper Bag collection, the red poinsettia cs is from DCVW 6 x 6 Holiday Jewel Mat Stack, mounted on a kraft card base. This gorgeous image is from Graphics Fairy. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Offbeat Christmas Messages, and are a real hoot!

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Guest Designer

Hello! Today I'm the guest designer at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, and the challenge is...

I dearly love the Sisterhood. I love making funny, snarky cards. This one is more funny than snarky-

and on the inside-

My husband loved this card-it's one of the few times hes belly laughed one of my cards.

Here's the materials I used:
  1. Image: Retro woman on phone (Graphic's Fairy).
  2. Paper: coral cardstock, coral polka dot, white cardstock (Stash).
  3. Ribbon: black & white gingham (Offray, Jo-Anns).
I made a second card, just because I wanted a choice of what to submit-

The sentiment is computer generated and I added the Art Impressions Wine Diva stamp and colored her with Copics. The blue cardstock is from Recollections, as is the kraft base. The background I stamped with the Paper Smooches set Hot Concoctions with Memento's Rich Cocoa ink. Such a fun card!

Thanks for visiting!

I'm also entering this at Naughty or Nice Challenges.

SoSS L is for Legendary Creatures

At Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, the sisters have decided we need a challenge all about Legendary Creatures. I looked through all my stamps, rubber or digital, and didn't see anything I could use!

So I looked on the internet for a Legendary Creature.

I searched and I searched.

And finally, thanks to photo editing software, I got my image.

Here is the Legendary Birthday Fairy-

Do you ever write stuff down hoping to use it one day? That's what I did! I found it looking for other things and the whole card came together from there. The "spotty memory" has been quite frequent lately, and it's like Christmas every time I search for something I've lost-I find treasures I've forgotten about. *sigh*.

And I am entering this at SoSS Legendary Creatures Challenge.
