Taylored Expressions Christmas Grumpling

Hello! Today I'm sharing a Christmas card I made using Taylored Expression's Grouchy Christmas Grumplings!

I just adore the TE critters! This Holiday Grumpling was colored with Copics, along with the jingle bell in the sentiment. The matching TE dies made it a breeze to cut the fox out.  I added gold Wink of Stella to the jingle bells for some shine! The patterned Christmas paper is two-sided, so I put the Jingle Bells sheet music (found on internet and printed at home) on the striped side, and cut with My Favorite Things round stitched circles the background for the fox and the sentiment.

Thanks for joining me today!

JAS Circle card Challenge

At Just A Scrappin', we are challenged to make circle cards. I made mine a scalloped circle using Art Philosophy and my Cricut! Here is a Christmas card I made-

The card base is white cardstock by Close To My Heart. The topper is made with green shimmer paper (Wausau), and green foil (Colorbok). The ornament was made with the Anna Griffith Winter Wonderland cartridge at 4", and I wouldn't go smaller than this as the layering pieces are extremely detailed. I used silver, gold, white, and pewter shimmer paper (Wausau) and topped the ornament with gold cording. The sentiment is on a scrap piece of white cardstock, stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with Hero Arts Green Shimmer powder. A corner rounder on opposite corners finished the sentiment.

I also used a corner punch to round the opposite corners of the paper elements.

JAS Wedding Card

At Just A Scrappin' this week, the challenge is to make a wedding card. Here is my project-

Very, very simple to make! The white panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug Damaskene embossing folder (part of the Cricut Sentimentals collection). I cut the sentiment with my Cricut using the Artiste cartridge, then used a Spellbinders die (Labels 16) to die cut around the negative space. Then I  cut a larger die in a color that matched my ribbon.

The great thing is that the label shadow and ribbon can be changed to suit any wedding decor color!

Oh, how much fun! Here is a card I made for the F is for Fart Challenge-

I used Studio Calico's Wanderlust paper for the front along with the yellow 1/8" ribbon, and the inside I used the same paper to frame the image and sentiment. Spellbinders circles die cut the window.

I hope you enjoyed this card!

And on the inside, snark of course!

And boy is that true with nurses! Always poking and prodding you! Here is a little video of the card in action-

I took a video of this to show you how funny it looks rolling through the card -it took a while

JAS Favorite Technique challenge!

The challenge at Just A Scrappin' this week is to use a favorite technique or embellishment. This one I just learned at my Copics class (Thanks Marti!) and have used it a lot! These were made in class as a tutorial.

I took a 4 inch square of white paper and centered a 3" grid of 1" squares lightly drawn with a pencil. I then colored 4 different colors into the 9 squares using my Copic markers. After all the squares are colored I took my Copic blender refill bottle and dripped out dots onto the grid. The smallest dots are added with a Q-Tip dipped in the Copic blender solution. I then stamped with some silhouette stamps, added the sentiments, and finished off the blue one with sequins in the flower centers.

Super easy, and it turns out great!

SoSS Challenge-U is for Ugly!

I've been recovering from a week in Reno, Nevada where we took one of our Chevelles to Hot August Nights. We over-served ourselves several times! So now I feel better to take on some challenges, like at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stamper's U is for Ugly Challenge!

Here is my ugly paper-which I have had for over 10 years-

At our now defunct Scrapbook Store, the owner would use papers for projects and what was leftover she would sell in bundles for ridiculously low prices. Well, you get what you get and I never found a use for this ugly paper, until now-

I just love snark! The paper is from my stash and I chose the brown ink and stripe to mimic bird crap. The image is from the internet, and the sentiment is from Creative Vision.

Thanks for looking!
