Marvin

Here is the challenge at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers-

SOSS #145 - Z is for Zaphod Beeblebrox

It references a character in the book/movie, The Hitchhiker's Guide to
the Universe by Douglas Adams. Now we realize that not everyone is a Sci-Fi geek like
the majority of the Sisters, so to make this challenge simpler, all we are looking for is  anything to do with, space/galaxy/aliens/spaceships, etc.

And here is my entry-

This quote is from Marvin, the robot in the Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy. The cute little robot is from Taylored Expressions (Far Out), sentiment computer generated, and the rays were made with purple tape and Lemon Squeezed Distress Oxide ink. Oh, and Apple Green Nuvo Drops for the eyes.

G is for Gross!

SoSS #144 - G is for Gross

The sisterhood has done it again with their latest challenge, G is for Gross! Which is exactly what my sister said about this card when I showed it to her-

Geez! My sister can sure be a downer at times. I thought it was cute. The "poops" & sentiment came from the Unity Stamp set "Just Stinkin' Cute", Kraft paper, and the shiny bg paper and it was done! Would this be considered CAS? Anyway, this makes a great get well card for a guy as poop seems to be something they are fascinated with.

Thanks for visiting.

The Doctor

SoSS #143 - L is for Liquor

Well, typically for me, the last minute arrives again! Here is my project for the challenge at SOSS-

I love this AI stamp-she can go with any funny sentiment stamp! The sentiment is from Riley & Co., and I've been itching to use it. The background paper is some old DCWV Mat Stack, and along with some magenta stars and iridescent ovals I've used up some bits & pieces!

Thanks for visiting!

Wallet Card

Challenge #116 – Pets at Your Next Stamp

I found this challenge while doing my DT thing of commenting, and I'm so glad I did! Here is my entry-

This is a wallet card, by Dreaming Tree. Its a freebie! I had some faux leather by Cricut and cut the main body out of it. I can't remember who had the double sided cardstock of stripe and horseshoes, but I thought it would be great for the pockets and the closure. I printed up the Father's Day sentiment and used a My Favorite Things rounded rectangle for the mini-cards. On the blank card I stamped the sentiment and pup from Your Next Stamp called Paw-some Pups and added my message (Sophie is a Beagle, and Filo is a Yorkie).

F is for Family

F is for Family! Another fun theme from the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

Here is my project-

I must admit, I love my Cricut. When I decided on the idea for the card, I found this image and used scrap paper from my stash to assemble this image. I used my old Dymo label maker for the sentiment, and I'm waiting to put a sentiment on the inside. I was going to put "because of the amount of pricks in it." But I'm going to wait and make it more personal, such as "because your brother/sister/mom/dad/uncle/aunt are the biggest pricks". Don't worry, it won't take long!

Please join us at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

Ironmongery?

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers have a new challenge, and it is-

SoSS #135 - I is for Ironmongery

Ironmongery originally referred, first, to the manufacture of iron goods and, second, to the place of sale of such items for domestic rather than industrial use. In both contexts, the term has expanded to include items made of steel, aluminum, brass, or other metals, as well as plastics.

OK! So here is my card for the challenge-

My husband works with boilers to make power at a local mill. So when Frantic Stamper came out with the pipes I immediately knew I wanted to make this card! Here is a list of materials-
  1. Embossing Folder: riveted metal (Tim Holtz).
  2. Dies: bucket (Impression Obsession), pipes (Frantic Stamper), Copic on the colored pieces.
  3. Paper: copper metallic cs (DCWV-old), white cs, silver (Tim Holtz).
  4. Stamp: sentiment (Lawn Fawn-Happy, Happy, Happy)

Have a wonderful day!

WTF???

SoSS #134 - W is for WTF

Another great challenge theme from The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers-WTF! And here is my entry-

It all starts with the perfect sentiment from Unity Stamp Co., stamped on a Mama Elephant arched banner. The image is also from Unity Stamp, from the She used to Care set. The paper is from the Memoribilia 6 x 6 paper pad from Teresa Collins.

I'm going to leave the inside blank for a while, to marinate on an appropriate sentiment. Or until someone does something incredibly stupid. I'm betting on the second one!

A girl can be anything

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers K is for Karma

SoSS Challenge #132 - K is for Karma

OMG! I love Karma, because if you are lucky enough, you get to watch the recipients just rewards! So I made this card for the challenge-

The sentiments are computer generated with a font called "Hurry Up". The women are Helen and Alice from Riley & Co. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of that stamp. I added some blue cardstock triangles to the corner, put it all on a premaid card blank (I forget who made it) and giggled away!

Join in at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for a fun challenge!
