Friends with Flair at Unity

Hello!

I was having a craft day yesterday with my friend Lagene, and I made these bookmarks.

I had stamped the backgrounds with one her Unity stamps a few months ago with CTMH Goldrush ink on ivory cardstock. The bookmark on the left I added "Wondrous" & "beautiful" (Unity Stamps) and on the right I used a Donna Downey Unity stamp "Enjoy, Explore, Believe" & the flower (also Unity).
I probably should have just said that all stamps are Unity Stamps!

The black folder tab is a Spellbinder die, and 1/8" Offray black ribbon completed the bookmarks. I don't add dimensional items to my bookmarks because of the bulk, and the books don't rest properly. Just my humble opinion!

These are being entered at Friends with Flair at Unity Stamp Co.
Thanks for stopping by!

JAS-Pets

Hello! This week at Just A Scrappin', we were challenged to make a project featuring pets, and here's mine-

The papers are from DCWV Pet Stack, and the sentiment, puppy & Puppy die are all from Paper Smooches Woofers & Tweeters sets. Isn't that puppy just adorable? The fibers are a dark brown chenille from my stash.

I left the inside blank so I could use it for a birthday, new pet, valentine, or whatever tickles my fancy!

Thanks for looking!

Warning-Profanity here!

If you are offended by bad language, then please don't go any further.

I made these cards for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Aniversary Challenge, where you can pick from any previous challenge theme.

I picked P for Profanity-so if you get offended, don't say I didn't warn you!

I also made them for my Mom's foot doctor, who has an awesome sense of humor!

I bought the rubber stamps at Unity Stamp Co. a few months back-and boy, did a bunch of people get their undies in a wad! Me, I worked at a high school for 30 years so I'm not easily offended! The paper is Avery Elle Brights, ribbon by American Crafts, and images are from The Graphics Fairy.

I gotta know what you think!

I had been waiting for the perfect image to use the stamp on. I got this and about 5 others from Overstock.com over a year ago and hadn't used a single one! The brand is Creative Vision, and the image is from somewhere over the internet.

Check out SoSS and enter the challenge-it's fun!

JAS- Sympathy

Sometimes we need sympathy cards. We don't ever want to use them, but that's not an option, is it? So here is a simple and I like to think, elegant sympathy card-

The paper is from the Black Currant DCWV stack. I used cream ribbon from the $1 store, and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

This card ended up going to a friend who's father passed away. It's always good to have a couple of sympathy cards on hand for such an occasion

Thanks for joining me today!.

Kitty Bee Designs Scraps Challenge

Welcome! It's so nice to be back after the Christmas holidays, and Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge starts today. We want you to use scraps to make your project. This months sponsor is the Doodle Pantry, and I found out that they sell SVG files too, in addition to some of the cutest digis ever! Here is my card-

I had no problem using the Lori McCroskey Card 5 SVG-simple and straight forward. The image is Happy Birdie B , which is free with any purchase. In fact, if you make a purchase you can add as many images from the "free with purchase" page as you want. Many have digital papers too!

Since all the papers came out of my scrap files, I have no idea of the manufacturers. Even the pale green rhinestones are leftovers, and they were the last two of that color. I did color the image with colored pencils (Prismacolor).

Be sure to enter the challenge at Aloha Fridays-winner will get a gift certificate to Doodle Pantry!

Thanks for joining me today!

SoSS Y is for Yuck, part deux

Wow. I have to thank the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for the Y is for Yuck challenge, which I'm entering this post for. I made a card out of one piece of yuck paper and entered it into the challenge. But in looking for that particular piece, I found more. Much more. So much more that I had to make a New Years Resolution to eliminate all paper from my stash(es) I don't like or love. If it isn't suitable for an envelope, it's going into a box for Goodwill. Life is too short for yucky paper (I may have to start on ribbons, too!). So here is just a sampling of shitey paper-

EWWWWWW! Pukey. Awful. Terrible.

So I have to thank the Sisterhood for forcing a purge-it's a good thing, right? Who'd want something made out of this stuff! And even though I'll suffer terrible embarrassment from posting this, I'll manage somehow. It did force me into a late morning cocktail...

SoSS Y is for Yuck challenge

I knew I could do this. I have a stack of paper that is in my OMGWDIBT pile (oh my gosh, why did I buy that?).  Since I need more birthday cards, I challenge myself to make something of this particular piece of paper. Here it is -

If it's ugly, glam it up! I don't know who made the bg paper, but the solid burgundy is from Jo-Anns and the foil is from a paper pack from Wal-Mart. The sentiment is a die from My Craft Spot, and the presents are cut with my Cricut Celebrations cartridges.

I'm actually kinda happy with how it turned out-I really didn't expect it! I'm entering this at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Y is for Yuck Challenge.
