R is for rainbows

I'm entering this card at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers-

SoSS #275 - R is for Rainbow

I was playing around with a paper wax emboss technique and decided to color it with a rainbow. You can see the embossing design on various areas of the front panel. I wanted a really snarky sentiment on the inside for a certain person who will totally misinterpret it.

This has been kinda a tough month, but its getting better. My husband had a heart test that showed that his heart is doing great and the valve he got a couple of years ago it still going strong.  Better than another possible valve failure. Never listen to the people administering the test-they aren't skilled enough to give accurate results!

Gnome Birthday

SoSS #274 - G is for Gnome

Now see, this challenge is a toughie for me because I have ONE gnome die (no stamps, two digi's) in my collection. But I had never used the die so I wanted to do at least something with it-so here's my card-

This card looks better in real life-the background paper isn't nearly that grainy! The die is Spellbinders Dancin' Gnome, Spellbinders All Occasion Sentiments, DCWV cardstock, and the inside sentiment is computer generated.

Another fun challenge from the Sisterhood!

Happy Birthday!

SoSS #273 - H is for Happy Birthday

 Here is my card-

This is for our dear friend Phil. Phil likes whiskey. Not just any whiskey, but top shelf whiskey. So this stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. (If You Were Whiskey) was just so perfect for his 50th birthday! I used Elizabeth Crafts Design Spiral Pull Card Die (I used it without the spiral) for the base out of some two sided Bo-Bunny cardstock that is over 100 years old. Not really, but it seems like it. Colored the whisky with Copics, and s pretty simple card.

A cold one

SoSS #272 - C is for Cold

And here is my entry-

We are in the middle of a heat wave (80's in March? In Southern Oregon?!) so when I thought of cold it was because I wanted a cold beer! I made this card with two sets by Unity Stamp Co.-Cheers & Beers (bearded man), and A Cold One (beer mug and sentiment). Fast card to make with those two stamp sets!

Curlers and Cattitude

At the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, the challenge is "N-new or never been used stuff.". I thought that this would entail some shopping-nope! Turns out I had plenty of stuff that was just waiting to get used!

Here is my project-

And proof that I've had this stamp for a while and never used it! I'm so ashamed.

What I find mildly amusing is that the background paper is also from Unity Stamps-from the freebie goodie packet that they give out on orders! This reminds me of my childhood when Moms actually wore curlers in public.I love this "Pissy Kitty" Curlers and Cattitude from Unity Stamps, so why did it sit unused for so long? Well, no longer. Too easy to color and make!

Please join the Sisterhood and show off your NBUS projects!

D is for Drink-Christmas Edition

SoSS #268 D is for Drink

I love to play with SoSS-I got to make a special Christmas card for my brother!

There is all kinds of bling on this. This is the Olive Martini Die Set, and Christmas Cocktails Die Set from Spellbinders. All of the papers I used were from my scrap stash-red glitter cs, silver shimmer cs, green cs, green shiny cs, red shiny cs, silver mirror cs, etc. Even the grey plaid is scrap! I added a light grey strip to make it wide enough for the card, and covered the seam with silver scroll glitter tape from Recollections. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things stamp set "Sassy Pants Holiday".

F for Finally Fall

At the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, the challenge is "F for Finally Fall". After the heat wave we've had, I'm sure we'll all be looking forward to cooler temps and the changing seasons.

Halloween is one of my favorite fall holidays, especially for card making! Here is my card-

This is made with two die sets from Spellbinders-Olive Martinis & Boos! Cocktails. There are so many ways to decorate a scary drink! The sentiment is computer generated. The background paper is from a magazine a long time ago. The black glitter border sticker is from Recollections. Everything else was cut from scraps.

In a floaty

SoSS #264 - H is for Hot Hot Hot

For the next month they will be celebrating all things Hot Hot Hot (however you interpret that) and here is my project-

I'm going to send this to a friend of mine in Redmond, Oregon. Anybody who thinks that Oregon is rainy and cool all the time have been fooled. Sometimes we have 20+ days of 100 degrees or better in the summer. It's also been know to go over 110!

This image is an oldie but goodie from Bugaboo (I miss them). I made my own slider mechanism and put a sentiment from Summer Grumplings (Taylored Expressions) on it. The sun paper is so old I don't know who made it, but it sure empathizes HOT!

Meowgarita Time

SoSS #263 P is for Pride

They want to see a RAINBOW or rainbow colors on a project-so here is my interpretation!

This cute kitty by Unity Stamp Co, (Fiesta Feline) just makes me smile so hard! That's the same look I get when I spot a margarita! The rainbow stripes was made all out of my scrap stash, and all the colors I used are on the pride banner above. Kinda of a happy coincidence with the brown and light blue. That cat just makes me smile!

R is for rude

SoSS #262 - R is for Rude

Well! One of my favorite themes is at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers coincided with a gift bag of rude cards for my niece! Here is one of them-

And at my house- this is so, so true! If you do answer, it's a 99% fact some idiot trying to scam you. Pretty simple card really. Paper was from my stash, and both the sentiment (Some Snark) and picture (Retro People ATC) are from Stamplorations.

63 Vette Coupe

Well, I made my husbands birthday card with one of his bucket list cars! The stamp is from Honey Bee Stamps from the Car Show set. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Birch Press, and the stamped sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co. Authentic Man set.  The background is just some snippets and ribbon lying around, gathering dust!

At the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers the theme is

 And here is my entry-

I'm sending this to my brother for St. Patrick's Day-I hope he gets a kick out of it! I used some scrap green and gold cardstock, scrap gold cardstock, and computer generated sentiments. The image is one from the Graphics Fairy from a long time ago. I'll look up some more challenges to enter this in, maybe.

I am entering this card at

SoSS #259 - L is for Love

I just got this stamp set from Unity Stamp Co.(Pissy Kitty) and it's going to be a Valentine for my brother! I love my brother, and we both love coffee! I am so in love with the Pissy Kitties! The papers used are from my scrap stash. The heart was punched from yellow paper and covered with Sakura Stardust pen. Antique Frames from Penny Black (sentiment) & MFT Stitched Squares for the image were the dies I used. I used Tea Dye Distress Oxide Ink for the edges.

Wag for Swag

For the beginning of 2025 over at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, the challenge is-

SoSS #258 - N is for NBUS (Never Been Used Stuff)

And here is my project-

Can you believe I've had this stamp and die set since 2016 and never used it? This is from Papertrey Ink and it's called Come all ye Faithful and the companion add-ons. And boy, did I struggle with the dies. They are solid, no open space to help position them, or holes to get the cardstock released! The die for the big dogs sweater didn't fit very well either. But there are work around for the problems I encountered. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! I used up a bit of ribbon from my "I can use that on a card" stash, old paper I've had forever, and I used L'il Inkers Designs dies for the sentiment.

Have a great day!

Here is a list of materials-

  1. Stamps: Ho Ho No Pissy Kitty (Unity Stamp Co,).
  2. Paper: printed holly, green, black cardstock (stash).
  3. Ribbon: red with white diagonal lines (American Crafts).

What will you make?

Its behind me

SoSS #255 H is for Halloween

Boy, it's been a while since I joined a challenge-frankly, its been a shit show around here. But, things are starting to look up, and back to creating cards. Here is my project-

I went with a Distress Oxide pink blended background (Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy, and Kitsch Flamingo-edged with Black Soot). The cute little feller is from Taylored Expressions Calendar Grumplings, and I used a Copic marker to color the white edge. The "ghoul" is from a Picket Fence set called Not Scared? You Should Be. The sentiment is from Halloween Cats from Tim Holtz.

Grad card

SoSS #249 - F is for Fold It

The Sisterhoods new challenge is Folds! And here is my project to enter the challenge-

This is a graduation card I made last year for a nephew. The card itself is CREAlies - Dies - On The Move #15 Design N. It has so many dies, it is a snap to put together. The letters and numbers were cut with my Cricut, and the stickers are some really old ones I found in my stash. I really like how well it stands up for display purposes!

Besides the SoSS, I would like to enter the following challenges-

Little Red Wagon  fun folds

Moving Along with the Times  fancy folds

I wish I had made this earlier-I had the perfect person (and situation) for it!

The background is a water color panel that has been languishing in my oopsie pile for a long time. The panel is from Altenew (Striped Leaf Cover Die), image is from Stamplorations (Retro People), and the sentiment is computer generated.

Happy Winter, y'all!

SoSS #247 - W is for Winter

Another fun challenge at the Sisterhood! Here is my project-

I swear, if it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done.

This card all originated from the sentiment set Freezin' My Snowballs by Unity Stamp Co. The cute pups are by Mama Elephant (Yappy Woofmas). I may send this to my brother in Reno, NV as the Cascades and Sierra Nevada mountians are getting hit with a big snowstorm right now.
