SoSS Y is for Yuck, part deux

Wow. I have to thank the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for the Y is for Yuck challenge, which I'm entering this post for. I made a card out of one piece of yuck paper and entered it into the challenge. But in looking for that particular piece, I found more. Much more. So much more that I had to make a New Years Resolution to eliminate all paper from my stash(es) I don't like or love. If it isn't suitable for an envelope, it's going into a box for Goodwill. Life is too short for yucky paper (I may have to start on ribbons, too!). So here is just a sampling of shitey paper-

EWWWWWW! Pukey. Awful. Terrible.

So I have to thank the Sisterhood for forcing a purge-it's a good thing, right? Who'd want something made out of this stuff! And even though I'll suffer terrible embarrassment from posting this, I'll manage somehow. It did force me into a late morning cocktail...

SoSS Y is for Yuck challenge

I knew I could do this. I have a stack of paper that is in my OMGWDIBT pile (oh my gosh, why did I buy that?).  Since I need more birthday cards, I challenge myself to make something of this particular piece of paper. Here it is -

If it's ugly, glam it up! I don't know who made the bg paper, but the solid burgundy is from Jo-Anns and the foil is from a paper pack from Wal-Mart. The sentiment is a die from My Craft Spot, and the presents are cut with my Cricut Celebrations cartridges.

I'm actually kinda happy with how it turned out-I really didn't expect it! I'm entering this at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Y is for Yuck Challenge.

JAS Happy New Year Challenge

Our Challenge at Just A Scrappin' is to make a New Year card using the colors black, white, gold, and silver. Here is my project-

Here is a list of what I did-
  1. Used Viva Las Vegas New year stamp, Versamark ink, and gold Zing embossing powder on white cardstock.
  2. Using Tombow marker, filled in sentiment.
  3. Cut up a Creative Memories silver line for silver confetti. Added Creative Memories New Year stickers.
  4. Matted card base with silver Wausau shimmer paper.
And that was it! Happy New Year everyone!

N is for Naughty

At the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, the theme this week is N is for Naughty, and here is my card-

She's a pretty naughty gal! I found this image at the Graphics Fairy, where they have all kinds of retro and vintage images. Come join in on the fun!

JAS Christmas using Red, Green, Silver Gold , Blue

At JAS the challenge is to make a Christmas themed project using holiday colors-
reds, blues, greens, gold, & silver. Here is my project-

This was an illustration for a fabric door panel. After I made the panel, I kept it thinking I could do something with it. So I sewed around the frame and fringed it, and attached it to the card. I added gold and silver Stickles to add extra sparkle.

I really like how it turned out!

JAS Celebrate Winter Fun

At Just a Scrapping our challenge is to make a project celebrating Winter Fun! Here is my project:

Here are some of the particulars-

  1. The white paper is embossed with Cuttlebug Snowflake folder.
  2. All paper except for background is scraps.
  3. Snow Friends was used for the snowman (cut at 4") and Freshly Picked was used for the sign. I hand wrote the snowballs 5 cents.
I hope you enjoyed this project this week!

I'm also entering this card at CardzTv Snowman/Snowflake Challenge.

V is for Vintage

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. I just found their challenges 2 weeks ago, and became a Princess of Snark! Now, I have a quirky sense of humor, and I have found a site where I can let it loose! This card is for the "V is for Vintage" challenge-

I made this for my sister-it's snarkin' on her good for nuthin' ex-boyfriend. Who-whee did that mans breath peel paint off the walls!

I hope you enjoyed this!
