JAS Halloween

This week I'm combining DT challenges, so here is my Halloween project for Just A Scrappin' & Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog-

I wasn't real happy with the tray insert I made last year, so this year I decided to make a Halloween scene. I just love how it turned out!

Here's a list of what I did-
  1. Background is a purplely blue glitter paper-Colorbok (Big Lots).
  2. Hand cut ground from black glitter paper, attached to background.
  3. Cut circle (5") from deep yellow cardstock from Plantin Schoolbook for moon.
  4. From Monster Bash, cut Haunted House (5"), tree (5"), black cat (1 1/4"), crow (1") out of black cardstock.
  5. From Happy Haunting, cut ghost (3") from white cardstock.
  6. Cut bats from Spellbinders Bat die out of black scraps.
Normally I would use my ATG gun or a tape runner, but I glued anything that went onto the glitter paper (Beacon 3 in 1).

Kitty Bee October Spotlight

In looking for a Halloween image, I just fell in love with this cow image! This is the pumpkin cow from  the Kitty Bee Design Etsy store!

I colored this with my new Prismacolor pencils-oh my, what a difference from what I was using! The paper is from Best Creations, and was a real bargain at 20 for $1!  The stamp is from Unity Stamps set called "Halloween Chatter". The purple button is from my stash, and the embossing folder I used on the orange cardstock is Cuttlebug's Halloween Skeleton Scrolls.

Thanks for joining me today!

JAS Challenge Die Cut Inlay

This week at Just A Scrappin', we are challenged to do a die cut inlay-and here is my project-

I don't have any steel word dies (yet), so I used my Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut the "thanks" out of two coordinating papers. I had no problem inserting the cuts into the opposite papers! So here's a list of ingredients I used to make these cards-
  1. Coordination Brights (chevron purple), DJ Inkers (white dots), Creative Memories lavender cardstock.
  2. Artiste flowers.
  3. American Crafts sheer lavender ribbon.
I'm debating on adding an olivey green leaves to both cards, so I may cut one and see how it looks.
